INTRO

Hi! I'm Sarah. 👋🏼 

Dog obsessed - I've always had a canine pal for as long as I can remember. Currently, I'm the proud human of Willow, a 9 month old Golden Retriever. 🦮 I live in Shankill with my husband where we are lucky to have so many beautiful parks, and forests on our doorstep. We also live 15 mins from the beach. 🌊

ACTIVITY & EXERCISE

Willow keeps us on our toes, she's still very much a puppy and adores dog company. We typically take her for 2 walks a day, sometimes 3! We love the outdoors, and discovering new places. 🌲 We work from home most of the time, and usually at the weekends, you can find us up a mountain ⛰️ or by a lake with Willow.

EXPERIENCE

Up until last year, we had Coco - a 10 year old springer spaniel, who passed away suddenly due to illness. (We miss her every day, still ❤️‍🩹) - Coco had extreme anxiety so we are very used to handling nervous dogs on walks and understanding that every dog is different. After Coco passed, we fostered Rosco, a Chihuahua who found his forever home before Christmas. We also have looked after our friends and neighbours dogs from time to time. 🐶

APPROACH

💡 Knowledge is power so we would love to know what your dog is like and what quirks they might have before they come and stay. Knowing things like:

They resource guard

They have bad recall (must stay on lead)

They pull on the lead

They're reactive to certain stimuli

They're fearful of ---

They get carsick

Any injuries they might have

will all be super helpful and will allow us to plan accordingly. We want to make sure your dog is happy and feels safe in our home 🏡 and we will always aim to accommodate their specific needs. Your dog would be treated like our own. 🤗

TO CONSIDER

*We can only take neutered males at the moment, as Willow isn't spayed yet. 🩵 💙

*As we are just out of the toilet training stage with Willow (RIP to the carpet on the stairs, and the many, many mats that were lost during this time!) we are only taking house trained dogs. 🪣🧽

*Please remember to bring your dog's food and let us know their feeding schedule, as well as any food intolerances they might have. 🦴🥩

*Willow really loves to play as she's still so young - this might be too much for some dogs, especially older ones! So as much as we would try to accommodate all needs and give your dog space if needed, just consider if your dog would be okay with a puppy trying to play at times as they won't be separated for the most part! (she does give up after a while if they're not into it, but can be a bit slow on the uptake!) 🐶 🥎
