Hello! 

My name is Susan, and I am excited about the opportunity to offer pet sitting services.

I am looking to do house visits or walk dogs in the Bayside area and surrounding, I'm at home full time now and I know from when I had office days how hard it can be to find someone to check in on your furry loved one friend when you have to go to the office. 

I have always been passionate about dogs and have grown up with dogs of my own, my first dog was Cassie a mixed breed terrier who I got when I was 10 years old and she lived 10 years, she had epiliepsy so I was used to helping her through her occasional fits.

My next dog was Jack, a JRT from Ashford pound, he was such a character, he lived to the grand age of 17, after Jack I wasn't ready to get a new dog.

Instead I volunteereed at a place called Soi Dog Foundation in Thailand on the island of Phuket, this volunteering work involved taking dogs out individually from their runs so they could get their own time away from their run pack, there could have been 20 dogs in the run, I was assigned a particular run for the time I was there.

During the pandemic I decided to foster for Dog's Angels a foster based rescue and did 4 different fostering asssignments, ranged from a Bull Terrier/Patterdale cross and Staffie to a Jack Russell mixed with a Chihuahua, all young untrained dogs and then a full breed Senior Biscon Frise who lost his home when his elderly pawrent passed :( Incredibly rewarding but tough to foster and there were tears when each went off to their new home but I was also very happy that I was able to give them a half-way house between the pound and their new home.

After the 4th foster I did my first private foster for a neighbour who was moving out of the family home into rented accomodation and was looking for somewhere for them both, it is of course hard to find rented accomodation with a restricted breed dog so this was my first foster fail and Billy the Staffie is still with me now :)

This lifelong love for animals has inspired me to offer dog walking and pet visiting, a much better way to spend your day than in a corporate office for myself anyhow.  

Additionally, I have occasionally dog-sat and taken care of a friend's pet dog Milly the very energetic Collie/Terrier cross ensuring she received the same love and attention she would from her owner.
