Experience:
I am currently in second year of veterinary medicine in UCD and I absolutely love it. I have copious amounts of experience with dogs. I previously worked as a veterinary assistant for an equine vet for 2 years. We also had many dog clients and so I have a very well trained eye for any unusual behaviour or early signs of illness. I am also able to administer any necessary medications.
I am also working part-time in a dog groomers as a bather (washing and drying dogs) and as a daycare minder. This involves minding and playing with the dogs and managing their lunches.
At home in Mayo, we have 2 terriers named Charlie & Millie. We also have a yard of 20 horses so I am very used to handling animals of all shapes and sizes. For this reason, I love both big and small dogs and have no preference between them :)
My house:
My college house is beside RTE so I'm only a stone-throw away from the stunning Herbert Park. This is the ideal place for a walk with the dog and a game of fetch. It's also full of other dogs so it's a really social environment for them. My house is in a really quiet, safe area. There's a small garden out the back for the dog to get some fresh air and to go to the bathroom. There's a big stone wall surrounding the garden and there's a wooden door between the house and wall which is always locked. The pictures in my gallery are from before we moved in, so it's much more homey now & the garden has been weeded! I live with 3 other female vet students that are also in second year. They're all big dog lovers so there's no fear of a dog being bored in our house!
My services:
I only offer dog boarding because it's difficult to navigate managing the other services with college. I only take one dog at a time. During weekdays I have some college lectures but I am only a 10 minute walk away from campus so I am able to keep popping back to the house to keep the dog company, feed them and take them for walks.

We are SO happy to have found Leona! She was great with our pup while we were away (great communication, with loads of updates & pictures), but moreover she is a genuinely nice person who clearly loves animals. Highly recommended - we'd book her again any time!
