My husband and I relocated from Canada to Ireland a few months ago (he's originally from Galway).
We are the standard milenium dog parents. We treat our dog like our baby and we are obsessed with her. She even has her own Instagram 😅
We adopted Gigi when we were living in Vanvouver (she was a street dog in Mexico 💔). She's extremely friendly and loves to play we other dogs. She's only 6kgs and 4 years old.
We live in a 2 bed apt in Rathmines, close to the canal and several parks. We have a fully fenced outdoor area (not shared with other apts). I work from home all the time, and my husband is currently not working, so he will be around all day with the dogs :)
I know how important it is to find good sitting for your dog when we go away. We love dogs in general and would love to have another furry friend around to play with Gigi.

I had a very poor experience with this sitter. When I arrived, her dog immediately started growling and barking and she stated that my dog was too big and her dog doesn’t get on with bigger dogs - this was despite her profile saying she took dogs up to 20kg, noting that her dog was very friendly and loved to play with other dogs and no reference to only wanting small dogs. Both Ligia and her husband were very unfriendly and made it out to be my issue although I had told her in the booking email that my dog was a collie (and therefore.clearly bigger than her dog). I have used a lot of sitters and my dog will happily stay with anyone but this is the only time she has come home upset. Ligia may be fine sitting a very small dog but I would advise caution based on my own experience.

I accepted a booking from Denise and her dog Scout, and my experience with them was terrible. She didn't have the right information in her profile, she listed the dog as a small and said it was lovely and friendly with other dogs. To my surprise, when she dropped it off it was a large extremely reactive dog.
She didn't mention anything before booking and it's very irresponsible. I went for a walk with the dog, and it suddenly tried to attack a stroller passing by. I had a very hard time trying to control this dog, she was jumping and barking for almost 10min on the middle of the street. The mom was obviously extremely mad and I had to hear a lot about it, which isn't my fault since I didn't know how bad this dog was. Luckily nothing happened, but this owner needs to disclose this information BEFORE she drops the dog at someone's else house. In addition to beeing reactive she definitely needs training and was jumping on furniture, trying to eat things etc.
She knows she is wrong because she now updated her profile, but it's not fair as a sitter to get a bad review because of a bad owner. She shouldn't not be allowed to use the platform if she's not being honest about the behaviour of her dog, and I can't add any comments to my profile to tell what really happened. This is not fair and makes me not want to use this app anymore. I hope this can be removed.
