Hello there, my name is Vicky, and I am a UCD Science student.
As a pet owner myself, I understand that while we love our pets to infinity and beyond, circumstance doesn’t always allow us to constantly be there for them. That’s where I come in. More than just walk your dog for you, I will be delighted to offer your dog a dynamic playtime.
I have been the primary carer for my golden retriever, Lily. I have also cared for other animals including chickens, birds, turtles and rabbits. From these experiences, I have learned to train certain behaviours, deal with unexpected accidents and have no fear of bodily waste. Furthermore, my family is used to going on extensive hikes so rest assured, I can walk till your furry friend meets their physical requirements. Every walk and house visit is guaranteed several lovely pictures of your companion!
A bit more about me: I am fluent in English, Spanish and French, with a bit of German and I hope to specialise in Zoology. I have lived in 6 countries in 3 continents, so meeting new people is an exciting part of my life.
---Walks----
1 hour, pick up and drop off, preferably afternoons
---House visits----
1st visit: 1h, Food + water + play + brush + short walk
2nd visit: 45 min, Food + water + play
Regarding house visits, I will gladly feed and brush your dog as well as provide them with company and play for a bit. Long hours alone aren’t easy for all dogs, so I aim to monitor their mental and physical condition and report back. I am also happy to facilitate video calls with your pet if the duration of your leave is longer.
Please understand that if your dog is very large or temperamental, I will be obliged to refuse any offers. This is in best interest of everyone’s safety. Similarly, depending on the dogs, I may not be able to walk more than 2 small/medium dogs or 1 big dog, however I am open to discuss this. I look forward to assisting you with your pet needs and wish you a lovely day!
---Pet Health---
As Lily got older, she developed certain conditions which resulted in me having to give her medication and apply a cream daily, so I do not mind doing this for your dog if provided with evidence that this was prescribed.
This may incur some small extra charges depending on your requirements.
DISCLAIMER: I will NOT administer any medication that involves injections or is lifesaving. That is not a responsibility I am suited to manage. Thank you for your understanding.
