Hi there! My name is Rachel McCarren and I am a qualified pet sitter from the USA. I moved to Dublin in August last year with my Irish partner, Chris Kervick, and our two dogs, Freyja and Atreus. Both our pups are fixed and fully vaccinated. They are Pomeranian/Husky mixes ages 5 and 3. Freyja is a medium size female and Atreus is a small male. They absolutely love having playmates stay with us! Our dogs are our life and we truly believe that pets are part of the family and that their quirky, adorable personalities are part of what makes life worth living. We love to hike and go for walks with our pups in the mountains, at the beach, or in the parks near our house, including Bushy Park, which is a quick 10 minute walk from us. Our house has a fenced-in back garden (the fence is over 2 meters tall) that the dogs can use too. I have worked with highly reactive dogs, fearful dogs, and dogs with complex health issues. In the US, I worked at the Butler County Humane Society in Pennsylvania helping socialize dogs prior to their adoption. It is some of the most rewarding work I've ever done. Every pup deserves love, respect, and a safe environment to thrive in. Rest assured, your pup will be treated like royalty at our house! 🐶👑🦴 If your dog gets dirty on a walk, I can bathe them if they are willing. If your dog requires specific dietary requirements, please provide food for their stay. Your dog will sleep with one of us in the spare bedroom, either on a dog bed or on the bed with us. Please provide a crate if you would prefer them to be crated. We have 2 medium size hard-shell crates that can be used if needed. Please provide any special bedding/medicine/supplies if needed. Dogs of all ages/breeds/temperaments are welcome. A quick meet and greet is preferred 24 hours in advance. Our dogs can be kept separate from yours if needed/ if they are uncomfortable around other dogs. I offer dog sitting, dog boarding, dog walking, home visits, and home sitting. I can board up to 4 dogs per day depending on breed and temperment/requirements. Dogs who stay with us will be walked at least twice per day. Dogs will not be left alone at any time during their stay. I can do home visits for cats and house sitting for cats, but cannot take cats into my own home as my doggos love to chase them. 🐈🐈‍⬛ Please see my calendar for availability.
